Hoppity hoppity hop: iNSD Design House Digital Blog Hop

First of all, let's not even talk about how long it's been since I last posted. ;) I envy all of you that can keep up regular content for your blog AND keep up with life. Koodos to you!

Though I don't get to digiscrap as much as I used to because the corporate world is sucking the life out of me, I don't want to lose touch with the scrapbooking world. I look forward to events like iNSD every year with al lof its goodies, so many challenges, so many events! At DHD we've got a lot of things going on this week it's crazy. I'm looking forward to using the iNSD collab kit because.it's.awesome. The Designers really outdid themselves this time with this kit.

Last weekend I got the chance to fly to Utah to meet up with some of the DHD Designers and Decorators for our annual retreat and crop. I had such a good time just hanging with some of the people I talk to frequently online. At the crop I was speaking to Kate, one of our customers who attended the crop. She was cute and amazing, BTW. As we talked the night away Kate mentioned how much my blog post on how to organize your digi kits in iPhoto helped her organize her own digi supplies. I felt so good about the ability to help fellow digi scrappers with the age old question of how to orgnize your digi supplies. So if you didn't catch the original blog post I've linked it up above.

I want to hear from you as to what your tips are for keeping your digi supplies organized. Submit a comment by Sunday, May 6th 3 pm PST to be entered into a drawing to receive a $10 DHD gift certificate!

I'm sure you've heard about the Layout Challenge that we're hosting, right? To entered into the drawing for a digital photo frame, you will need to complete a layout meeting all 26 of the challenges by Tuesday, May 8th at 11:59 MST. This means that you will need to do the complete blog hop to see what everyone else's challenge is in order to incorporate it into your own layout. My challenge to you is to layer 3 elements together. :)

Moving onwards... if you want to get our collab kit for free

make sure to snag this letter:

And if you can't read this it's an "eye".

SO now that we've discussed my organization tip, your challenge, and your letter to scoop up the kit for free, make sure to head over to Mary's blog to pick up your next letter and challenge! If you are just coming to my blog and you want to start at the beginning of the hop, go to the DHD blog post.

Peace.

Well I'd like to give advice but I need advice on how to get my digi stuff organised. I'll be off to check out your post after entering this comment. I do find it helpful to see a jpeg of the supply to choose.

I have no organization to mine at all, except to have each designer in their own folder. One of these days...

I have my kits by designer names. Each designer gets a folder and all of their stuff goes there. Mega kits have a folder all of their own.
Thanks for your tips and for the chance to win.

I use put most items into folders with like items (paper, elements, templates, etc.) and then I use Windows Live Photo Gallery to tag my supplies. Still have a bunch of stuff (like kits) hanging around in the main folder but c'est la vie. :-) Hey, I can't figure out if your letter is an "i" or an "L". :-/ Hopefully someone else will clue me in, or I'll figure it out in context.

I have my digi supplies organized into folders first by year I downloaded (easier to get rid of older stuff I don't use), then by store, then designer, then kit.

I tend to label things with the style & color, then put them into store, designer folder Think I need and better way. Always looking for that.........I love and would go great on this page.

I make sure I organize files RIGHT when I download them. All are separated into different folders by name of kit/file then subfolders of Elements/Alphabet/Papers etc.

Hey There...

I Too Organize By Folder & Theme...(Christmas,Easter,Valentine's Day & Love,Winter,Fall & Halloween,Etc...)That Really Works For Me!...But If There Is A Designer That I Love! & I Have A Stash Of Their Stuff(There Are Many!)...I Do Give Them Each Their
Own Folder By Their Own Name!

Thanks For The Chance!

I'm fairly new to the digital scrapbooking world, so I've just been trying to keep my digi stuff in folders on the normal "Pictures" library on the computer. I'm looking forward to seeing your old post about organizing them, because I definitely NEED HELP!! Thanks for the chance to win :)

Wish I could say I was organized, but I'm no - everything is mumbo jumbo on my external!

I use Creative Memories StoryBook Creatot to organize my digi content. You can organize by filing and then further organize by key words. All my DHD collections are in a DHD file and then I tag them with key words like colors in te graphic or sport or occassion that it would be used for, etc.
Can't wait to read your post and pick up some new organizing tips.
Thanks for sharing.
